We offer domestic home study and post-placement services for families pursuing private adoption or adoption from foster care. Beyond the home study assessment, HOAA offers ongoing support for your family’s lifelong journey by providing connections to resources through community events, training sessions, support groups, and therapeutic services. We also offer clinical consultations, coordination with legal and placement agencies, and access to adoption finance resources.

The home study is a required step in the adoption process, as it ensures the safety and suitability of a family for adoption. Our home study fees cover comprehensive assessments, interviews, and a detailed home visit. To reduce barriers to adoption, fees are not incurred all at once but are charged incrementally as services are rendered. We can also provide resources to help you explore potential funding or grant options.
HOAA is licensed by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) to provide adoption services throughout the State of Florida. All services are provided in compliance with Florida State Law and DCF regulations. Domestic adoption home studies are written in compliance with State requirements and can be used for the adoption of a child anywhere in the United States. Some states, however, require prospective adoptive parents to become licensed foster parents in order to adopt. Families should consult their home study provider before searching in all states. We provide international post-placement services to current clients only; HOAA is not accepting new international adoption clients.
