Choosing to make an adoption plan for a child is hard. For many birth parents, only someone who has walked a similar path can truly understand the complex emotions involved. That’s where the HOPE Program comes in. Led by experienced birth parents, HOPE offers compassionate post-placement services to any birth parent, regardless of how long ago their adoption took place. Our support network includes individual counseling sessions, retreats, support group meetings, and online groups designed to help birth parents navigate their grief and foster meaningful connections with others who have made similar choices.
Our Retreats are weekend events that provide a safe space for birth mothers to share their stories, explore the grief process, and build lasting bonds with other birth mothers. These retreats are not only an opportunity to gain valuable coping skills, but also a time to experience healing and a little pampering along the way. See our Events page for retreat dates.
Pizza Meet Ups are casual, in-person support group meetings where birth parents —both mothers and fathers—can come together to connect with others who have placed a child for adoption. These meetings, led by a birth parent, create a relaxed environment where participants can share their experiences, find mutual support, and enjoy free pizza. Supportive friends and family members are also welcome to attend. See our Events page for meet up dates.
For anyone unable to attend an in-person event, Online Support is available through a private Facebook group. This group connects birth mothers from around the world in a confidential, supportive community where they can openly express the highs and lows of their adoption journey. Contact Us to join our online community.
Whether it’s been months or years since placement, services are available whenever needed and can continue for as long as necessary. At HOAA, we believe no one should navigate this journey alone, and we’re here to provide support at every step no matter your placing entity or attorney.
Whether you’re looking for support, connection, or resources, we have a variety of events designed to bring birth parents together. We hope to see you soon!
